    The research was focused on the design of appropriate methods and procedures digitizing of fixed automobile glass of different shapes using a non-contact optical systems - 3D scanners. The models resulting from the digitization of real parts (in the formclouds of points, or optimized polygonal mesh) were used for dimensional and shape inspection of seal glass. There was used Best-Fit alignment method and using RPS points on the CAD model too. The aim of the research was also making colour maps of deviations surveyed parts (most often coating and mounting element of automotive glasses ) with respect to the nominal models, including making analyses in defined sections.
