    Optimization of counter flow plate heat exchangers

  • Original language description

    This work is motivated by the need to optimize heat transfer area of heat recovery heat exchangers which are assembled from plates. Plates are made of metal, paper or plastic and are shaped by press molding. Ridges, grooves or undulation are supposed toincrease the heat transfer and also determine the plate pitch and carry the heat exchanger. By assembling the heat exchanger from plates, complicated and irregular narrow channels are created.
