The article deals with sustainable development. The aim is to put emphasis on environmental, social and economic impacts. It is mainly focused on the problems and negative impacts of the entire life cycle of a product on the environment. Ecodesign and its strategy for industrial production are described. Ecodesign can design a product and its production, which will be environmentally friendly. Paper is also focusing on beginning of the product life cycle, namely the development and design, where it is possible most influence the production processes, method of disposal and reduce costs, for example by methods Design For X.
