    High-temperature Properties of Fe3al with Addition of 2 At.% of Zr

  • Original language description

    Iron aluminides are perspective structural materials for high temperature use. Addition of Zr into Fe3Al matrix leads to formation of strengthening intermetallic phases, which affect their high-temperature behaviour. The present work focuses on the behavior at high temperature, especially on the mechanical strength and coefficient of thermal expansion with respect to the alloy structure. Transition temperatures are not affected by Zr-addition in comparison to binary alloy.
