Design Of Magnetic Spring Characteristic With Finite Element Method Utilization
Original language description
This paper describes a method for a magnet system geometry modification based on the required repelling magnetic force characteristic. Nowadays, magnetic systems are used in many applications throughout engineering disciplines, e.g. electronic devices, magnetic couplers, magnetic springs, etc. Furthermore, with commercial usage of new rare earth materials, e.g. a neodymium compounds, a demands for magnetic systems with enhanced properties has increased considerably in last decade. One of the potential application, uses a specific magnetic-mechanical systém for accumulation of kinetic energy at the dead centres of rectilinear motion with variable stroke. This system, however, reaches its limitation at high operational speeds due to the vibration of implemented mechanical spring. Therefore, another magnetic system based on the specific geometry of permanent magnets was invented in order to satisfy the magnetic spring force characteristic. This paper describes the approach towards the des
