Computational Fluid Dynamics in Magnetohydrodynamics and Applications
Original language description
Design of the computational code to simulate the magnetically driven flows was main objective of the publications. Before the numerical code can be successfully used for calculations, appropriate solving procedures, method verifications and results validations must be performed. The simple benchmarks have been calculated in order to prove the robustness and accuracy of the designed computational code in regarding to flow, turbulent and magnetohydrodynamics effects. The computational code fully paralyzedhas been applied for calculations of the flow stirred by magnetic field (rotating and travelling magnetic field). The Taylor-Goertler type instabilities and vortices were found. The energy spectra could demonstrate the appropriate grid refinement used for calculations and basic flow features and instabilities.
