    OPERATIONAL ANALYSIS BY SIMPLIFIED SINGLE-LEVEL CAUSAL CHAIN

    The paper deals with cause-chain utilization for process improvement. Presented method is not based on deduction as Ishikawa diagram and 5 Whys analysis, when solvers can specify the negative effect causes by linear logic and by own experience too inconclusively. Described method combines gemba-observation with the simplified single-level causal chain created by answering question "what causes this negative effect" than answering traditional "why". Combination of user friendly gemba-approach and keystone of modern root-cause analysis methods give us technique still based on fundamentals of physics but technique that is relatively fast for continuous improvement activities performed by broad population. Paper describes implementation of proposed method in quality defect
