This article deals with the systematic search for resources for Low Cost Automation (LCA) in production processes. For this task authors employed the 9 windows as a contextual map respectively functional analysis and trimming. The article also includes a practical example focused on the LCA application in the production of seat belts. For the solution traditional approaches of Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering and modern methods of systematic creativity were combined.
