An adsorption of carbon dioxide on activated carbon controlled by temperature swing adsorption

  • Original language description

This work deals with a method of capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) from indoor air. Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA) on solid sorbents was chosen for CO2 capture. Activated carbon (AC) in form of extruded pellets was used as a solid sorbent. There was constructed a simple device to testing effectiveness of CO2 capture in a fixed bed with AC. The TSA cycle was also simulated using the open-source software OpenFOAM. There was a good agreement between results obtained from numerical simulations and experimental data.
