This paper focuses on FEM simulation model of pneumatic spring supported by a steel plate. This substructure is implemented in to the cushioning of a car seat and in combination with electronic feedback control of internal pressure provides the capability to adjust pressure distribution in contact zone between the seat and the passenger.
