Original language description
The acoustic properties of the gearbox have been modified with additives on the outside of the gearbox housing to achieve lower acoustic emissions. Vibration measuring technology and a vibroacoustic camera were used to evaluate the properties of the modified gearbox housing. Selected load cases replacing the real driving of the vehicle were simulated in the POWERTRAIN test cell at TUL.
