Design and control of uniaxial testing machine
Original language description
This paper focuses on the design, control, and testing of an in situ testing machine that in combination with a commercial system Q-400 μDIC measures the macroscopic stress-strain behavior of small-scale rubber specimens. The deformation measurement of specimens is key to the direct tensile method and directly affects the accuracy of the obtained mechanical parameters. The digital image correlation method (DIC) has the advantage of being a non-contact approach with high accuracy that can be amplified on small-scale specimens using a stereo light microscope (SLM) [1]. The DIC method is widely used to measure the shape, displacement, and full-field deformation of objects and has become the most active method in optical measurement.
