The wake size and structure affect the magnitude of aerodynamic forces and momentum in the most significant way. In this study, the change of Ahmed body geometry is applied in order to change the wake structure. Ahmed body is the best-known simplified car model. It can be used for simulations and experiments. In some recent studies, geometry modifications of the Ahmed body have been investigated. Nevertheless, those were modifications of the underbody like creating the underbody diffusor. In this work, the modification is made by slanted back sides of the body, like a boat tale, assuming this modification would decrease the overall drag of the body.
