Application of Coupled 2D and 3D Filtration Flow Models for Analysis of Floods in Višňová region
Original language description
A flood process comprises more physical phemomena. Our model is based on surface flow described by 2D model and soaking modelled by unsaturated porous media flow in 3D domain. Mixed-hybrid formulation of these problems and numerical solution by finite elements are proposed. Some experimetnal computations were performed for realistic terrain data. Various precipitation behaviours and terrain modification (afforestation, river-bed constructions) were considered and the result showed a possibility to reduce the flood effects.
