    A matematical model that takes into account the water sorption mechanisms fibres wis developed to describe and predict the coupled heat and moisture transport in general fabrics. Since the rate of moisture diffusing through a clothing fabric is too smallto be measured directly, the measurement is usually indirect and the intaraction between thermal and moisture transport is not considered.
