The paper presents the algorithm for the fast visual speech signal recognition. The methods for the fast face detection and for the lip finding were developed for this algorithm. The shape visual speech features were separated from the face (lips) region. The HMMs trained from these visual features were subsequently used for visual speech recognition.

Článek popisuje algoritmus pro rychlé rozpoznávání vizuálního signálu řeči. Metody pro rychlé detekování lidského obličeje a pro nalezení rtů byly vytvořeny pro tento algoritmus. Tvarové vizuální byly separovány z obrazu obličeje a z těchto vizuálních příznaků byly natrénovány HMM, které sloužily pro rozpoznávání.
