This paper presents some 3D virtual models that was developed on the Faculty of Mechatronics, and employed in the process of education of programmable logic controller programming. Within logic control laboratory, the virtual models appear as well-suitedalternative to physical-mechanical model, whose feasibility, in laboratory conditions, is sometimes complicated. As we do both, the development and employment of virtual models, the paper includes approach to virtual models development, description of some of them as well as our experience of their usage. At the end, the possibility of remote connection to laboratory equipment is discussed
