Mechanical control of the modern small-diameter circular knitting machines is substituted elektromechanical control systems in this time. This contribution deals in project of the modelling force load of motion of sinker in needle groove of needle cylinder of small-diameter circular knitting machines and determined critical friction coefficient. There was made experimental verification of step force between sinker and clavettes cam of two-diameter knitting machine. Bound of sinker from a clavettes cam was monitoring.
