Vizualization methods used for observation of the weft propulsion mechanism
Result description
Laser anemometric system Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) was modified and extended for tracing the weft in air flow. Assembled records were remitted to a self - designed algorithm. In the second step the high speed camera with appropriate lighting system was used for data recording. A real model of weft propulsion mechanism was assembled and synchronized with the measuring and recording systems. In the article are described the time behaviour of nozzle flow air and carried weft. Both methods of weft tracking are discussed.
