Time is money. This is the mean idea of our work. Everybody knows, what does it means RCM. It?s searching for maintenance, which is the cheapest in the long term. But where are limits of this methodology? The main limit is price of analysis. When it getsto the state that the analysis is more expensive then the analysis profit so there is something wrong. We applied simplified Reliability Centered Maintenance in chemical process industry for one year. After that time we think over our work and we triedto compile time/economical optimization of RCM analysis. There are presented three possible ways of RCM improvement. Of course every way has advantages and also disadvantages. These are summarized in few points for each possibility and this could serve to decision-making which simplification is the best for the managed factory.
