On the Extrinsic Piezoelectricity of Perovskite Materials Controlled by Crystal Lattice Defects
Original language description
Perovskite piezoelectric materials still play a key role in the contemporary electroacoustic transducers. It is known that the both dielectric and piezoelectric properties of polydomain perovskite ceramics and single crystals are to a large extent controlled by the dynamics of domain wall motions. The details of the interaction of the domain walls with crystal lattice defects using a numerical Phase Field Model is addressed. We will address the case of the both 180° and 90° domain walls and the understanding of their effects on the macroscopic dielectric and piezoelectric response.
