Faculty of Mechatronics, Informatics and Interdisciplinary Studies (Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic) solves in recent years several research projects focused on technology in the field of the environment. This paper is primarily focused on the photovoltaic energetic services, let´s say on the financial valuation of these technologies. First the photovoltaic energetic and the process of industrial research and development is mentioned. The list of possible methods that can be used for technologies evaluation follows. In the final part of the paper the specific case study of the power plant photovoltaic project valuation (by Net Present Value) is demonstrated. There are also mentioned the main legislative changes in photovoltaic servicesin the Czech Republic (valid from year 2011). These changes should restrict the increase of prices of electric energy for the final consumers and, of course, to ensure the incomes to the state budget.
