Stochastical approach to spread modeling of the leaked contaminant spill
Original language description
Fuel for petrol stations is usually transported by tank trucks. If a tank truck accident occurs the fuel can leak and the individual units of the environment can be consequently damaged. Most threatened are the surface water flows and soil. For the purpose of risk analysis and preventive precaution it is necessary to know the extent of leakage to the water or soil, if the accident occurred at some point. In this case, we can simulate the behavior of a liquid spill on the surface. The spill flow is nevertheless extremely sensitive to small surface asperity. These asperities are nearly always imperceptible in the geographic data bases of threatened areas. Therefore it is necessary to select the stochastic approach for the correct calculation. The simulation model of spill flow developed by our department is based on this approach. We need the data on the surface and leaked liquid for calculations. All input values can be specified stochastically as a probability density function of rando
