Individual and social risk assessment for toxic gas outflow by road transport
Original language description
The reach of negative impact is depends on quantity and character of transported substance, actual meteorological situation and on recipient sensitivity to negative effects (toxicity, fire, explosion). Gas dispersion in the atmosphere boundary layer is strongly dependent on weather conditions (atmosphere stability, wind speed and direction). Bandwidth exposure assessment is complicated because of large differences in concentration values. The reach radius of effects may vary in number of digits in respective value. That is why the occurrence frequency has to be respected for single situations by bandwidth assessment. There are different negative effects like most often toxicity, thermal radiation and/or shock wave. Sensitivity of human and environmentelements to these effects is different. Therefore we need to conduct various methods of consequences assessment. In simple cases the criteria is the substance concentration in respective point in the atmosphere. However the exposure dose
