    Effects of medium voltage potential transformer load on ferroresonance initiation

  • Original language description

    This paper investigates the impact of potential trans-former secondary load on the initiation of ferroresonance. The investigation is carried out by means of automated measurement of serial resonant circuit. A real medium voltage potential transformer was used for the experiment but the measuring proper was performed on low voltage form secondary side. The influence of transformer working flux density, serial capacity and transformer load on fer-roresonance was tested. The forroresonance bifurcation region is measured by slow increase and decrease in supply voltage. The sensitivity of ferroresonance initiation is meas-ured by simulating circuit breaker recovery voltage through the application of DC voltage.
