    Optimization of magnetic circuit in electromagnetic flow meter

  • Original language description

    This paper deals with optimization of magnetic circuit of flow meter sensor based on electromagnetic principle.Increasing of magnetic flux in flow profile and consequently increasing of sensitivity of sensor is the main aim of this work.Theoretical description is followed by analysis of magnetic field in flow profile on 3D model of electromagnetic sensor by usingsoftware packages Ansys and Comsol Multiphysics. Width of iron yoke around excitation coils is parameter of this analysis.The result is shape of yoke, by which sensor has maximal flux density inside the flow profile. There are evaluated results fromboth simulation software packages with experimental measurement in final discussion.
