The article deals with the state of the use of logistics in the management of production companies on the territory of the Liberec district at the present time. 125 manufacturing organizations were contacted and asked to fill in a questionnaire. The textis focused on the use of logistics from the point of view on industrial branch, number of employees, phases of implementation of logistics, building of logistics into the organizational structures of enterprises in the sphere of authorities and responsibilities of departments, and in the field of purchase and supplying, systems of production planning and control, distribution channels, situating of stock places and forms of external transportation of materials and goods.
