Original language description
Each time a patient gets examined by his or her doctor, a brief note about the result of the examination must be written and saved in a computer file. The SpeechLab plans to create a discrete-word dictation systém word according to the dictation into themicrophone. The article is about building of a vocabulary for such system. The SpeechLab has already developed a similar dictation system with an 800K-word vocabulary A vocabulary for the physicians will be smaller, which would also allow to create an effective language model. Besides saving time for the physicians, such system should also improve the quality of notes about patients' health, because the notes written using the keyboard are full of typing errors and non-standard abbreviations.
