"There has been written many times in various publications that the position of males and females on labour market in the Czech Republic, and also in the European Union, varies in a significant way; the chances of males and females for a success on labour market has always drawn apart. In my contribution I would like to focus on the description of current situation in our republic, then on the questions of equal dealing with males and females in work in countries of the European Union. The essential part of this article will be created by an analysis of males and females employment in selected economic sectors, again in term of all countries of the European Union."

Czech description
Postavení mužů a žen na trhu práce v České republice, ale i v Evropské unii, se stále výrazným způsobem odlišuje. Důkazem tohoto tvrzení je provedený rozbor zaměstnanosti mužů a žen v jednotlivých ekonomických sektorech, a to opět z hlediska všech zemí Evropské unie.
