Income Expectations of University Students: Sample of Selected Economic Universities in the Czech Republic, England and Poland
Original language description
The objective of the paper is to analyze students? perceptions and expectations of their future incomes. By doing so through statistical testings, authors bring a possible quantitative argument about the rate of return of investment into higher educationbased on data from selected economic universities, and thus open space for discussion about financing of Czech public universities from public or private sources. The authors used data from a large primary survey among students of selected faculties ofeconomics and compared the results from Czech, Polish and English respondents. All the performed tests have indicated and identified one critical finding that confirmed results of previous surveys - high rate of return to higher education. Except of thatthere was also confirmed differnecies between local and Prague universities and in connection with the length of work experience..
