The paper deals with a selected topic of facility management and its importance for company competitiveness. Importance of the functional company facility management has increased dramatically in recent years. The reason for this is a higher pressure oncost reduction and additional value to the core business of the enterprise. The paper introduces current theoretical literature-based framework of this topic with a purpose to examine and analyse supporting activities and processes connected with facility and maintenance particularly. The main aim of the paper is to show an importance of maintenance management information system and its implementation effects on overall equipment efficiency of the facility in the enterprise based on primary data of a selected company.
