Testing sound attributes of mobile application in different environements
Original language description
This paper addresses the issue of mobile application testing with respect to user experience. Major emphasis is placed on the optimization of sound elements that, in the scientific literature dealing with the development of mobile applications, have so far been largely ignored. The research described in this paper assumes different behavior of sound in different environments and a different perception of sound by different age groups. Based on this assumption, three test groups and three test scenarios were created. For the research purposes, a model of an early warning application, which contained two type of sound signals was created. For each group and for each scenario, we always measured the time from the first activation of the signal to the final selection the correct answer. The main reason for selecting a mobile application, whose purpose is the timely delivery of information in case of emergencies, is the importance of sound notification in such cases.
