Website Quality and Shopping Behavior - Quantitative and Qualitative Evidence

  • Original language description

This publication focuses on the analysis of web design parameters that are expected to have a potential impact on the user experience and behavior of the website user. The main goal of the following chapters is primarily to clarify the definition of the concept of website quality based on the identification of the patterns of user behavior in the online environment depending on the functional and aesthetic parameters of web design and causal relationships between their combinations. By covering various aspects of user experience and web design, this publication proposes a methodical procedure for measuring the quality of web pages based on both an analysis of secondary sources and the authors’ own experimental results. We believe that this book can help both academics and practitioners better understand the internal motivations of website visitors and provide guidelines for the development and testing of optimized websites in the context of the user experience.
