This study presents a novel approach to optimizing the layout of a cross-dock warehouse by integrating Microsoft Visio with cross-dock operations data. The methodology encompasses data collection, layout design, data integration, data visualization, and distance optimization. The results indicate a significant reduction in total travel distance within the warehouse, leading to improved operational efficiency and reduced costs. The findings provide valuable insights for warehouse managers and could guide future decisions regarding warehouse layout design and operations management.
