New experimental methods based on the application of software for image analysis are described. These methods can be used for verification of theoretical models and for the technical design or evaluation of yarn quality. The possibilities of cross-sections of yarn and fiber image analysis for solution of practical problems are demonstrated on the example of rotor PES yarns from fibers with modified cross section.
