From the theoretical analyse viewpoint of an air permeability of textile materials, a porosity is considered to be the basic characteristics representing a textile structure. Some research papers that are interested in this problem compare a fabric to awire grid. According to laws of fluid mechanics, an air permeability value AP (rate of speed of flowing air) increases as being dependent on the square root of a pressure drop. Experiments however show that the mentioned dependence holds only for metallic materials with an "unchanging" structure. A textile fabric structure changes owing to flowing air and the point of its relation with air permeability is much more complicated. This paper therefore undertakes, above all, the analyse and the importance of deformations that can occur in fabric owing to flowing air.
