    It is well known that during of creation of weaves and knittings yarn are deformed. The nearly circular cross-section of yarns is changed to more flat profile due to compression. These changes occur mainly in binding points of fabrics (intersections of yarns) but are visible in composites as well. A lot of geometrical models do not include this phenomena and so called free yarn geometry is assumed. The main aim of this work is to describe of special device for measurement and evaluation of yarn compression between two parallel plate.
