Original language description
For characterization of roughness the mean absolute deviation MAD is usually used. The procedure of surface complexity parameters evaluation from SHV traces is based on the fractal dimension computed form power spectral density and variogram or autocorrelation function. The main aim of this work is quantitative comparison of various roughness characteristics and relation of these characteristics with subjective hand.
