A great success was recently achieved in mathematical descriptions of homogeneous textures in digital images that are being used for their segmentation and recognition. The aim of this article is to link this knowledge with Monte Carlo methods and modelsParticularly we will introduce a heuristic proof of Hammersley-Clifford theorem concerning the general form of potentials that belong to systems which could be investigated as Markov random fields. Various parametric Markov random field models will be inauto-model - will serve as a tool for the investigation of liquid jet instability. Comparison of computer simulation outputs based on the chosen auto-model and Monte Carlo method with Rayleigh analytical theory provides us with encouraging results.
