Textile fabrics represent complicated structures. The mechanical properties of these formations are possible to describe on the basis of their specific idelaization. One of the methods of problem solving of the mechanics textile is substitute of thetextile formation by continuous enviroment - continuum. The substitute continuum has identical mechanical properties like testing textile fabric.

Tkaniny patří mezi komplikované textilní struktury. Mechanické vlastnosti těchto útvarů je možné popsat na základě jejich určité idealizace. Jednou z metod řešení problému mechaniky textilií je nahrazení textilních útvarů kontinuálním prostředím- kontinuem. Toto kontinum má identické mechanické vlastnosti jako testované tkaniny.
