The effect of untraditional yarns on the resulting quality of terry towels
Original language description
In this study the woven towels are investigated from fibre content through the woven construction to finishing. For a pile warp were used three types of yarns. The resulting quality of produced terry towels is compared. The classification of towels is made according to weight, type of yarn, pile presence, characteristics and properties (absorbency, resistance to pile lay, wet strength, dry and wet tenacity, visual appearance, crease resistance, dullness and stability of dimension). All these innovationsare aimed to increase the value gained from terry towels.

Czech description
V článku je zkoumána ručníkovina od použitých vláken přes tkaní až po úpravu. Pro smyčku byly použity 3 druhy přízí a ověřovali jsme jejich vliv na absorpci, pevnost, hmotnost, omak, oděr a rozměrovou stálost. Cílem bylo zlepšit užitné vlastnosti ručníků.
