Influence of cotton fibre parameters on yarn hairiness

This paper focuses in the influence of cotton fibre properties on yarn hairiness. It is generally accepted that fibre fineness, diameter, shape factor, length, flexural rigidity, torsion rigidity, tenacity, extension to break and friction are fibre parameters influencing hairiness of yarn significantly. There are several factors influencing quality of cotton fibres and variability of parameters is relatively high in terms of cotton cultivars. The main aim of this article is determination of dependenciesbetween fibre parameters, yarn construction and yarn hairiness. In our study the parameters measured by HVI and cumulative hairiness index H measured by Uster Tester 4 were used for statistical analysis.

Czech description

Tento článek se zaměřuje na zhodnocení vlivu parametrů bavlněných vláken na výslednou chlupatost přízí. Je všeobecně známo, že jemnost, průměr, tvarový faktor, délka, ohybová tuhost, torzní tuhost, pevnost a tažnost vláken významným způsobem chlupatost příze ovlivňují. Kvalitu bavlny ovlivňuje velké množství faktorů a variabilita vlastností bavlněné suroviny je relativně vysoká s ohledem na typ kultivaru. Hlavním cílem článku je hodnocení souvislostí mezi parametry vláken, konstrukčními parametry přízía chlupatostí příze. V tomto případě byly pro statistickou analýzu dat použity základní parametry vláken hodnocené s využitím HVI a souhrnný index chlupatosti příze měřený na Uster Tester 4.
