Original language description
Effect of real structure defects, voids, on elastic properties of textile C/C composite was studied. The microphotographs of the structure were used for automatically finding of voids in specimen. Then the void shape was approximated either by ellipse orLissajouse curves. In the second case, the accuracy can be specified. Applying Finite Element Method from MATLAB to a specimen containing the real void (approximated by ellipse) all the elastic parameters, local and global, was calculated, using own scripts. The void changes strain and stress in its immediate environment maximally by 15%. The influence of the void on average elastic parameters, Young modulus, for instance, is negligible, however.
