Geometry of plain weave fabric under shear deformation. Part III: 3D model of plain weave fabric under shear deformation
Original language description
Configuration of fabric and orientation of yarns, so called fabric geometry, play vital role to simulate fabric behaviour under shear deformation. However, determining the fabric geometry needs to special equipments and this process is time-consuming. The main attempt of this investigation is to establish a model to Simulate change in fabric geometry and yarns deformation during shear deformation. For this purpose, the proposed model in Part II is developed to predict the configuration of fabric and orientation of yarns under shear deformation. It is found that the proposed model is responsible for simulating fabric behaviour and this behaviour is strongly depended on packing density of yarns during shear deformation. Observations in Part I are compared with predicted values and it is demonstrated that there exist a good agreement between proposed model and experiment values. Consequently, present model is able to predict fabric geometry by considering very common data of fabric in ini
