The woven composites prepared by prepreg technology were modelled for mechanical properties in FEM. The whole structure of a composite is defined for the 2D multi-scale modelling in the levels. From the processing it is possible to obtain 3D models, too.The paper describes a process of high resolution image processing, a computation and an experimental measurement on the real composites for comparison. The commercial software Comsol MultiphysicsTM was used for calculation with proper determination of the material properties. We tested two methods - Plain stress analysis and Vibration analysis.
