Relationship between permeability and porosity of multifilament fabrics
Original language description
Main aim of this paper is to explore the relation between permeability and structure of fabrics made of multifilament threads. There are some early models of porosity that were previously proposed or tested in terms of permeability to the fabrics made ofstaple yarn. The structure of multifilament fabrics is different, but can not say that easier. It is shown that even in the case of these fabrics can not be considered the thread as completely non-permeable body. In the case of finished fabrics the effect of vertical porosity (floats thread section) to air permeability is significantly reduced.
