    Paper talks about development of image analysis method in terms of filtering two dimensional signals with linear filter in frequency domain. In particular, construction of Gabor filter and its application on digital images of fibrous structures is concerned. Gabor filter is used here in order to achieve segmentation of fibers of non-woven material from other fibers distinguished by different orientation. The paper also briefly discusses a software implementation of proposed method and its integration into a final application.
