Flex Fatigue of Plastic Optical Fibers
Result description
The flaw fatigue characterization is very important for side-emitting plastic optical fibres used in textile for some special optical activity. The principle of evaluation of flex fatigue was based on the number of repeated bending cycles till break. Q-Qplot and three parameter Weibull distribution were used for estimation of numbers of bending cycles of fibres with different diameters. The relationship between flex fatigues and flexibility were described with logarithmic values.
