The effect of salty water on thermal comfort properties on Nomex fabrics
Result description
Computer evaluated fast working tester ALAMBETA was used for determination of thermal resistance, thermal conductivity, and thermal absorbtivity of selected Nomex woven protective fabrics containing water with 1-3% of salt, thus simulating the influenceof sweat on comfort of the wearer. Relative moisture content of the tested fabrics was in the range 0 ? 100%. Thermal conductivity of the tested fabrics incrased with the moisture level and the content of the salt.
