Original language description
This research focuses on evaluation of the thermal properties of nonwoven fabrics used as padding for clothing. The thermal insulation of textile fabrics depends on properties like thermal conductivity, thermal resistance, thermal diffusivity, thermal absorptivity, thermal effusivity, density and thickness. Experiments were conducted with an objective of studying heat transfer by conduction through the different thickness of fabrics used as thermal insulators. The nonwoven padding fabric with different100% polypropylene and composition of polypropylene/polytetrafluoroethylene were used in this work. Evaluation of various techniques for measurement of thermal properties of nonwoven padding fabrics were carried out.
